Vernon Leon Stockton Sr.

Vernon Leon Stockton, Sr. of Beech Bluff, TN, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the age of 70.
Leon was born August 5, 1952, to the late Hermon and Marie Tignor Stockton in Madison County, TN, and lived his life in the Beech Bluff area.
He had many interests, including cars, boats, and motorcycles, and had his own mechanic shop where he loved working on old cars. Leon served in the Tennessee National Guard and was a member of Middle Fork Road Baptist Church in Luray, TN.
Other than his parents, Leon was preceded in death by a sister, Billie Jean Stockton.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Connie Stockton; son, Vernon Stockton (Dana) of Beech Bluff; brother, Ronnie Stockton of Beech Bluff; sister, Charlotte Godwin of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Jason Stockton, Hunter Stockton, Hailey and Destiny, and a great-grandchild, Stella Ray Stockton.
SERVICE: A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Brother Scott Dunaway officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Beech Bluff Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online stjude.org.
