Tim Helton, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend entered his heavenly home on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center surrounded by his loving wife and family at the age of 49.
He was born on January 28, 1975, in Pensacola, FL, the son of Gordon Helton and Somsri Todan Hill.
Throughout his life, Tim accomplished great things and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. He was a man of many talents and pursued a successful career as the proud owner of United Construction & Renovations. Tim's dedication to his work was evident in every project he undertook.
While Tim's professional achievements were commendable, it was his military service that truly highlighted his unwavering commitment to his country. He served as an Aviator and Kiowa Warrior pilot in the United States Army for twenty-six years. Tim selflessly served two tours in Afghanistan, demonstrating bravery and valor in the face of adversity.
Outside of his career and military service, Tim had a zest for life that was unrivaled. He had a deep love for fishing, which allowed him to connect with nature and find solace on peaceful lakes or rivers. The beach was another place where Tim discovered joy and contentment. Whether it was breathing in the salty air as he strolled along the shoreline hand-in-hand with his wife Brandy, or just admiring the beauty, the beach held a special place in Tim's heart.
Cooking was one of Tim's greatest passions—a skill he honed over the years by preparing delicious meals for his family. He used food as an avenue for expressing his love and creativity. Those lucky enough to have tasted one of Tim's culinary creations can attest to his exceptional talent as a chef.
Tim is survived by his wife Brandy Helton, who stood beside him through thick and thin. He was a devoted husband and cherished their marriage as a sacred bond. Together, they created a beautiful family that brought joy and fulfillment into their lives.
Tim's children were the pride and joy of his existence. He leaves behind Gabrielle Helton, Taler Johnson and her husband Jacob, Tyler Helton and his wife Valerie, and Robert Rodriguez and his wife Sammi, his stepchildren, Bailey Strangfeld and Alex Strangfeld, his parents, Gordon Helton and Somsri Todan Hill and his siblings, Anthony Glenn and Lisa Copeland and her husband Brett. The joy of Tim's life extended to future generations as well. He adored his grandchildren Atlas Helton, Leland Parker, Ryder Salor, who brought immense happiness. Their laughter filled Tim's heart with warmth and love.
Tim's love for his family knew no bounds, and he always made sure they knew how proud he was of their accomplishments. As a father, he provided unwavering support and guidance to help shape them into the remarkable individuals they have become.
Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Jefferson Helton.
