Thomas Paul AntonA funeral mass for Thomas Paul Anton, 20, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 9, 2010 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Thomas died on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a brief illness. Arrington Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.Thomas was born in Memphis, TN on October 10, 1989, the son of Michael Thomas and Debra Jean Alexander Anton. He was a graduate of University School of Jackson where he played football on the middle school and freshman teams. Thomas?s passions in life were his friends and the relationships that they represented. He loved animals of all kinds. He was a sophomore at the University of Alabama majoring in Marine Biology and a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He was a communicant of St. Mary?s Catholic Church.He is survived by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Michael T. and Debra Anton of Jackson, TN; a brother, Michael Alexander Anton of New Orleans, LA; grandparents, Mrs. Marilyn Anton and the late Anthony Thomas Anton of Springfield, OH and Mrs. Margaret Alexander and the late Eugene Thomas Alexander of Tullahoma, TN; Aunt, Judy Anton Lapp of Cincinnati, OH and her children Chris, Colin and Anna Lapp; Uncle, Dennis Lapp of Cincinnati, OH; Aunt, Susan Carr and husband Mark of Edwardsville, IL and their son, Andrew Carr; Aunt, Karen Connors and husband John of Morgantown, WVA and their children Johnny Connors of Sterling, VA, Mike and wife Anna Connors of Sterling, VA and Matt and wife Darci Connors of Atlanta, GA; Aunt, Patti Canon and husband William of Northville, MI and their children, Andrea Dawson and husband Pat of Livonia, MI, Chloe Canon of New York, NY, Casey Canon of Northville, MI and Shelby Canon of Northville, MI and an uncle, Steve Alexander of Laurens, SC and daughter Angie Alexander of Laurens , SC and son Simon Alexander of Laurens, SC Pallbearers to serve will be Matthew Hudson, Marshall Homra, Hunter Merriweather, Brent Hanson, Brennan Torstrick and Colin LappHonorary pallbearers to serve will be Timothy Surratt, Blake Cross, Chris Delatorre, Patrick Taggart, Isaac Grizzell, Kirby Tritt, Keelin McMann and Jordan Wiggins.The family will be receiving friends on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, 1665 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.
