Terry Ray Blackstock

Terry Ray Blackstock, 76, of Jackson, TN died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital.
He was born August 22, 1937 in Luray, TN the son of the late Tom and Beatty Blackstock. He graduated from Jackson High School and attended Union University. He worked as an engineer for Illinois Central Gulf Railroad for 42 years. He was an active member of Englewood Baptist Church and a long time member of the choir. Terry loved Southern Gospel and he was very instrumental booking many concerts at local area churches.
Terry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laura Blackstock; a daughter, Lynda McReynolds and husband Dr. Tom McReynolds of Starkville, MS.; a sister, Irene Lile of Jackson, TN and four grandchildren John, Mary Margaret, Will and Harris McReynolds of Starkville, MS.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Englewood Baptist Church with Dr. Philip Jett and Dr. Brent Lay officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Arrington Funeral Directors.
