Mrs. Sylvia Ann Brown, age 81, of Jackson, Tennessee, departed this life Monday March 21, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of George Dixon Brown, who survives, she was a retired employee of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was born April 27, 1940, in Hardeman County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Dorothy Belle King Majors and William Gaylord Majors, and lived most of her life in Madison County, Tennessee. Ann married George Dixon Brown on July 23, 1960. She loved adventures, traveling to Italy, England, Canada, Hawaii, New York and all 50 states of America. She always said the best trip was traveling west to California with George. Ann was a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson.
In addition to her husband, George, she is survived by two sons, Anthony (Tony) Dixon Brown (Tammie) and Joseph Todd Brown (Tammy), and one daughter, Julie Ann Brown, all of Jackson, Tennessee. Her pride and joy were her four granddaughters, Jennifer Lynn Brown (BJ), Kristie Nicole Brown Lenard (Jason), Kayla Von Brown Clay, and Kelly Nicole Brown plus her three great-grandchildren, Mason Lee Medley, Adeline Grace Clay, and Madison Lynn Medley.
SERVICE: A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 27, 2022, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Larry Murphy and Rev. Larry Kirk officiating. She will be laid to rest in Ridgecrest Cemetery following the service.

The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday prior to the service at Arrington Funeral Directors.
