Stella Jay Markham Funeral services for Stella Markham, 62, will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday December 8, 2009 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Don Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Markham died December 4, 2009 at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital. She was born January 14, 1947 in Camden, TN the daughter of Rosie Butler Gurien and the late J.P. Gurien. Stella?s favorite hobbies were fishing and going to yard sales. She is survived by her husband Stanley Mack Markham Sr. of Jackson, TN; her mother Rosie Gurien of Ridgely, TN; a son Stanley Mack Markham Jr. and wife Jenny of Jackson, TN; three brothers Larry Joe Gurien, Tommy Gurien and Jamie Gurien all of Ridgely, TN; six sisters Pat Leake of Ridgely, TN, Lavon Bates of Ridgely, TN, Faye Williams of Gratio, TN, Jean Ennis of Tiptonville, TN, Peggy Markham of Newbern, TN and Ophelia Wood of Medon, TN; three grandchildren Stanley Mack Markham III, Emilee Grace Markham and Brady Lee Markham.Mrs. Markham was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Wayne Markham.Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Arrington Funeral Directors148 W.
