Dr. Stacey Elaine Hunt-Okolo, age 50, died Sunday March 14, 2021 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
She was born January 23, 1971 in Birmingham, Alabama, the daughter of Willie and Clementine Curry Hunt. Stacey was an electrical engineer who became a physician, working in different specialties. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and kids while supporting her nieces, nephews and “Chester” her labradoodle. She participated in Medical Mission trips and was active in her church and community.
Other than her parents, she is survived by her husband Dr. Joseph Okolo of Medina, Tennessee; two sons Nnamdi Marcel Okolo and Nduka Daniel Okolo; two daughters Nneka Jolaine Okolo and Nebechukwu Nyala Okolo; brothers Willie Hunt, Jr, and Waquin of Birmingham, Alabama and sister Sheila Hunt of Birmingham, Alabama. Her extended family reside all over the USA, Canada, United Kingdom and Nigeria.

SERVICES: Funeral mass will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening, March 18 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at which time a prayer service will be held. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
The family has requested memorial contributions be directed to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036.
