Solomon Warren DonaldFuneral services for Solomon Warren Donald, 95, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 8, 2009 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in St. Paul?s Cemetery near Medon, with military honors at graveside. Mr. Donald died on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.Solomon was born in Medon, TN on June 17, 1914, the son of the late Thomas and Frances Donald. He was married to Bernice Donald who preceded him in death in 1997. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired thirty year employee of the United Postal Service. He was a graduate of Lane College and a charter member of Alpha kappa Psi. He enjoyed all sports and enjoyed listening to ?Big Band Jazz? music.He is survived by three sons, Gerald Donald of San Francisco, CA, Darryl Donald of Portland, OR and Yule Donald of Ann Arbor, MI; four daughters, Beverley Donald of Washington, DC, Fannietra Donald of Chicago, IL, Falicia Donald of Beverly Hills, CA and Tanya Donald of Ann Arbor, MI and one grandson, Francis Donald of Rochester, NY.He was preceded in death by a son, Reginald Donald, a brother, Lorenzo Donald and a sister Celestine Donald.The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
