Sandy Singleton, age 64, died on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Sandy was born in Selmer, TN on April 14, 1950, the daughter of Estel Lee and Wilma Ruth Phillips Forsythe. She was employed as a registered nurse with West Tennessee Healthcare Hospice for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, TN. Her work with her patients was her life. She also enjoyed working in her flower beds and playing with her puppy “Happy”.
She is survived by her husband, John “Santa” Singleton of Jackson, TN; two sons, Michael Norton and wife Julie Nelson of Chicago, IL and William Jeremy Norton of Tennessee; five sisters, Carolyn Bowers (Ted) of Selmer, TN, Connie Hurst (Albert) of Little Rock, AR, Judy Turner (Jim) of Selmer, TN, Gail Forsythe of Nashville, TN and Dorothy Heath (Tommy) of Selmer, TN and two grandchildren, Joshua Chapman and Jack Norton of Medina, TN along with numerous nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 26, 2015 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Bruce Pigue officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
