Ruby Williams, age 91, died peacefully at her residence at Forest Cove Memory Care Center of Jackson.
She was born on January 30, 1929 the daughter of the late Neal and Lydia Ross Melton. She was married to Jim Bingham who preceded her in 2009 and Daniel R. Williams in 2000. She was retired as the manager of the Photo Center of Walgreens located in the Old Hickory Mall. She had also been employed with Salant & Salant Industries in both Lexington and Scotts Hill. She and her husband Jim enjoyed horses and were a part of a couple’s saddle pleasure group and she participated in many saddle events winning numerous trophies. Later in her life, she and her husband Daniel ran Williams Rental Properties in Jackson for many years. She was active socially and well respected and a friend to everyone. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the many caregivers at her residence and later Forest Cove.
She is survived by her sons, Jim Bingham of Jackson, TN and Dennis Bingham and his wife Ellen of Lexington, TN; two sisters, Nancy Holton of Southaven, MS and Doris McKee of Gallatin, TN; four grandchildren, Jon and Allison Bingham of Lexington, TN, Corey and Whitney Bingham of Lexington, TN, Ben and Leigh Bingham of Jackson and Julie Bingham of Richmond, VA, and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, husbands, two brothers, Franklin Eugene Melton and Bobby Melton and her sister, Vera Manness.
SERVICES: A graveside service for immediate family will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2021 at Ridgecrest Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
