Rosa Jane Ashworth

Rosa J. Ashworth, age 75, entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her family at her side.
A native of Friendship, TN, Rosa was born on February 25, 1946, the daughter of the late Voris and Mary Johnson Ponder. She was married to Ronnie Lee Ashworth, who preceded her in death on August 26, 2011. Rosa retired as a secretary with HCI Supply of Jackson. Her passion was her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved to garden, whether it was flowers or vegetables, always taking pride in the time she spent nurturing them. Rosa always enjoyed the challenge of putting a puzzle together or playing cards with family and friends. She attended Englewood Baptist Church.
Rosa is survived by her two sons, Jube Ashworth and his wife Debbie, and Kevin Ashworth all of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Carolyn Bridges and husband Jerald of Ripley, TN, and Faye Harris and husband Ray of Anderson, SC; granddaughter, Brooke Bowen and husband Cal of Jackson, TN; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Christopher, and Emma.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, January 2, 2022, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Mike Seals officiating. Burial will follow in Ripley Memorial Gardens with a committal service at 3:30 PM.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the service.
