Ronnie Hickman, a beloved figure known for his dedication to family and his impactful career, passed away peacefully on Monday morning September 30, 2024, at Bells Nursing Home. He was born on Saturday, February 15, 1945, in Troy, Tennessee, to the late Carlton and Ruth Hickman. Ronnie was the proud brother of Howard Neal Hickman, who predeceased him.

Over the course of his professional life, Ronnie established himself as a distinguished Manufacturing Systems Analyst and director in various capacities. He dedicated four years to the Consolidated Aluminum Corporation, where he honed his skills in manufacturing systems. Following this, he served for eight years as the Director of Data Processing at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. During this time, he became a consultant for various industries, aiding in the design and acquisition of computerized information systems. His commitment to education led him to teach numerous college courses, where he sought to promote a better understanding of computerization and its benefits in the business environment.

Ronnie endeavored to engage with the community beyond his professional obligations. In 1978, he joined the Central Service Association as the Director of Marketing, where he played a critical role in the organization’s transition to offering online services, overseeing marketing, training, implementation, and customer support for these innovative systems. After years of devoted service, he retired as CEO.

Known for his sweet and quiet demeanor, Ronnie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished time spent outdoors, enjoying hobbies such as hunting, fishing, golfing, and boating. Above all, his proudest accomplishment was his family.
