Richard Clay Barlow

Richard Clay Barlow, age 77, died Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Born November 13, 1945, in Jackson, TN, he was the son of the late Kendrick and Mary Lou Bussell Barlow. He received an Associate of Arts degree in nursing from Union University, a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master’s of Health Administration from the University in St. Francis in Peoria, IL. A Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRA), Richard worked at Semmes-Murphy Clinic for 37 years until his retirement in 2011.
He was a Vietnam War veteran and a captain in the National Guard. A faithful member of Northside Church, he enjoyed volunteering at RIFA. Richard was a loving father and grandfather.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Gara Reynolds of Jackson, TN; son, Jon Barlow of Spring Creek, TN; five grandchildren, Annabelle Barlow, Olivia Barlow, Silas Tomlin, Isabella Reynolds and Isaac Reynold; one sister, Jennie Bingham (Steve) of Athens, GA; one niece, Stephanie Langley (Reid); one nephew, Brad Bingham (Deanna); three great-nephews, and one great-niece.
SERVICE: His Celebration of Life memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Northside Church. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 3 p.m.
