Raymell Alexander

Graveside services for Raymell Goff Alexander, 81, will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, October 7, 2011 at Ridgecrest Cemetery. Mrs. Alexander died on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Lexington Manor Nursing Facility. Arrington Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.Raymell was born in Scotts Hill, TN on April 17, 1930, the daughter of the late Lester and Minnie Menton Goff. She was married to Jerry P. Alexander who preceded her in death in 1988. She was employed with Porter Cable of Jackson for over twenty-eight years before her retirement. She was also affiliated with Alexander Services Inc. from 1998 to 2003. She enjoyed being at the Tennessee River and being with her grandchildren.She is survived by three sons, Gary P. Alexander and wife Margaret K. of Raleigh, NC, Randy Alexander of Jackson, TN and Tony Alexander and wife Cindy of Jackson, TN; three grandchildren, Daniel K. Alexander of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Sykes and husband Larry of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Jessica Alexander Stewart and husband John Randall Stewart of Nashville, TN; three great grandchildren, Emma Grace and Justin Alexander Sykes and Shyla Rose Stewart, as well as three sisters, Grace Britt of Scotts Hill, TN, Mary Bee Strong of Bath Springs, TN and Bernice Long of Scotts Hill, TN.Raymell was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Goff and Bob Goff and a sister, Hazel Galiek.The family will be receiving friends on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
