Peggy J. Taylor, age 80, died on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Henderson County, TN, she was born on November 19, 1935. She was preceded in death by her mother Bonnie Sykes. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and enjoyed going to games. In her youth she enjoyed playing basketball and also played softball for many years as an adult. She loved her family and spent her life caring for them. She was retired from West Tennessee Bone and Joint after eighteen years of employment.
Peggy is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Harold Taylor of Jackson; a son, Terry Taylor of Jackson; a daughter, Janet Taylor Gregory of Jackson; a sister, Loretta Tillman of Jackson; three grandchildren, Kari Pendergrass, Jade Embrey and Adam Taylor and two great-grandchildren, Jace Embrey and Pate Pendergrass.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Ridgecrest Cemetery with Rev. Hoyt Wilson officiating.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers will be Bret Embrey, Adam Taylor, Jay Pendergrass, David Gregory, Dirk Gregory and Russell Hayes.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, 848 Adams Ave. Memphis, TN 38103.
