Patsy Griffin, age 75, of Jackson, TN, passed away in the company of her adoring family on Friday, June 3, 2022.
Patsy was born in Alamo, TN on Monday, January 6, 1947, to the late Euthema (Toy) Selph and husband Barton Selph. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert; brothers, Kenneth and Jimmy Selph; as well as infant sisters, Nancy Fay, and Carolyn Rose Selph.
Patsy met and eventually married the love of her life, Robert Griffin, on January 20, 1967. They built and lived a life of love and happiness, making their family the center of everything. Patsy was the epitome of the words “loving mother.” With every part of her being, Patsy was a doting Mom, and she was in love with her grandchildren. Patsy loved being outside working in her flower beds and was always up for an adventure. She especially loved to go camping with her grandchildren.
Patsy was a fun-loving person whose greatest work and enjoyment came from being a homemaker for her family. She was admired for her militant housekeeping. Family meant everything to Patsy. She held tight reigns on her family as their greatest protector. She always put her family first and enjoyed every aspect of her role in their lives. For many years, Patsy shared her life and her lap with her treasured dog companions Smokey and Scooter.
She will be forever loved and missed by her son, Gary Griffin of Jackson, TN; daughter, Vickie Rudder of Jackson, TN; three grandchildren, Zachary Mount, Brandon Mount and Chris Rudder; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
