On Sunday, June 25th, at 3:00pm, a celebration of the life of Patsy Ruth Boswell will be held at the chapel of Englewood Baptist Church. On Friday June 23rd, Patsy departed this life and now rests with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Born August 4, 1927, in Chester County, Patsy attended Chester County schools, and graduated from West Tennessee Business College. In 1952, she married Joe Boswell, and spent their early years in Henderson, TN, Mountain City, TN, and then settled in Trenton, TN. Later they made their home in Jackson, TN.
Patsy began her career with ASCS, Department of Agriculture, and later Production Credit Association, in Trenton. In 1972, Patsy and Joe entered the ladies apparel business, opening the Patsy Anne Shoppe in Trenton. Several years later they moved to Jackson and opened a children’s apparel business, Klassy Kids.
For many years as a member of Englewood Baptist Church, Patsy used her gifts as a hostess in the welcome center, serving in the home-bound meals ministry, and in the choir.
Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joe Boswell, and a brother, James Terry, Patsy is survived by daughter, Connie Dowsley and husband Cole, of Jackson; grandsons Cole Dowsley, Jr. and wife Nicole, of Nashville; Joseph Dowsley and wife Sarah, of Greenville, S.C.; great-granddaughters Carolyn Dowsley, and Anna Dowsley, of Greenville, S.C.; and sister Sue Dodridge of Phoenix, AZ.
