Patricia "Patti" Minnis

Patricia “Patti” Blizzard Minnis, age 76, departed this life Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in Jackson, TN.

Patti was born May 4, 1946, in Orlando, FL to the late Robert and Helen Blizzard. Her family moved to Springfield, TN, where she graduated from Springfield High School and met her late husband, Gary Wayne Minnis. Patti and Wayne moved to Jackson shortly after their marriage and became members of Browns United Methodist Church. They worked together at the Farm Bureau Claims Office, and Patti retired from Farm Bureau in 2008, after over 20 years of service as a claims representative. Patti gained many friends over the years with her outgoing personality. She loved sharing laughs with everyone around her. In her more recent years, Patti enjoyed reading, going to aqua aerobics, spending time with her children, and attending her grandchildren’s ball games.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Morris; sister, Sandee Guidry; and stepmother, Dorothy Henderson.

Patti was loved and will be forever missed by her children, Gary Minnis (Cindy), Rob Minnis (Connie), and Kim Dean (Brad); brother, Tom Blizzard (Linda); sister, Sam (Mike) Peck; grandchildren, Coleman Minnis, Carleigh Minnis, Blake Minnis, Brooke Minnis, Bryce Minnis, Landon Dean, and Layla Kate Dean; and fur baby, Boo Bear.

SERVICE: A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Browns United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Dr. Jason Wilkerson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Browns United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Browns United Methodist Church and Cemetery.
