Patricia Anne Baker

Patricia Anne Baker, age 85, died Monday, February 13, 2023, at Brookdale Jackson Oaks. Born November 17, 1937, in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of George Everett and Marie Nance Mynatt.
In 1955 she graduated from Knoxville Central High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee. Her career as a teacher was at Powell High School, East Tennessee School for the Deaf, Lincoln Park Elementary School, and Shannondale Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Herman Tipton Baker.
Those surviving are her two sons, Dr. John Baker (Beth) of Jackson, TN, and Jim Baker (Janet) of Collierville, TN; brother, Allen Mynatt of Oak Ridge, TN; sister, Nancy Noel of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Haley Spencer, Evan Baker, Hannah Singer, Olivia Baker, Hillary Baker, Harrison Baker, Sophia Baker, Bailey Whitworth, and Cooper Whitworth; and great-grandchildren, Evangeline James Singer, Emerson Rose Spencer, and Wyatt Nathaniel Singer.
SERVICE: The Memorial Service for Patricia Baker will be Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Beth Ederle officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to Grace United Methodist Church, 142 McClellan Road, Jackson, TN 38301, or online at www.graceumcjackson.org .
