Pat A. Edmonson, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday August 26, 2024, at Maplewood Healthcare and Rehab in Jackson, Tennessee. 

Born on December 19, 1937, in Bauxite, AR, the daughter of the late William and Maudie Ramsey Udey. Pat was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother and great-grandmother who leaves behind a legacy of love and faith.

Pat was an esteemed Administrative Assistant at the Jackson-Madison County Board of Education, where she dedicated herself to supporting the education community. Her work ethic and commitment were evident in her countless contributions to the lives of those she served. 

An active member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson since 1964, Pat embodied an energetic spirit and shared her deep faith in Christ with everyone she encountered. She spent her days immersed in Bible study and was passionate about nurturing her faith. Her service to the church included a stint as the church secretary, teaching Sunday school, and participating as a dedicated member of the choir and various church committees.

Beyond her professional and spiritual commitments, Pat cherished the moments spent with her family. She loved to cook for family gatherings and create lasting memories through travel with her loved ones. Her infectious personality and devotion to her family will be deeply missed.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Laura Weatherford and husband Jim, and Dana Wallace and husband Dr. Robert J. Wallace, as well as her brother, Larry Udey, and sisters Doris Menkin and Marion Duvall. She was a proud grandmother to Zachary Weatherford and wife Allison, Ellison Weatherford, Tyler Weatherford, Tanner Wallace and wife Elizabeth, and Trevor Wallace and fiancé Miranda, and a great-grandmother to Bryson, Willow, Easton, and Dorothy. 

In her retirement, Pat found fulfillment as a volunteer with Kirkland's Cancer Center, where her compassion and dedication made a difference in the lives of many.

SERVICES: A funeral service to celebrate Pat's life will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Jackson, with Dr. Scott Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, August 30, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until the service time at 1:00 p.m.

Pat A. Edmonson’s spirit and influence will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
