Norma Lee Skiles, 102, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at The Waters of Winchester, surrounded by love and care, with her daughter by her side. 

She was born on Thursday, November 2, 1922, in Lauderdale County, TN, the daughter of the late James N and Lee Wade Moore. 

Norma lived a life rich in faith, family, and service as dedicated pastor's wife, she played a vital role in the spiritual community while accompanying her husband in eight different church congregations throughout West Tennessee. Norma's commitment to her family was evident as she lovingly raised four children, providing not only a nurturing home but also instilling the values of faith and hard work.

Norma was a woman of many talents. She found joy in gardening and yard work, embracing the beauty of nature. Her creative spirit shone through her love for sewing, as she crafted countless articles of clothing for her daughters, a testament to her care and devotion. Known for her culinary skills, she took pride in preparing delicious meals for her family, drawing loved ones together around the table.

An alumnus of Ripley High School and Draughon's Business College, Norma was a lifelong learner who valued education and personal growth.

She is survived by; her daughter, Jo Wiggins and her husband David of Estill Springs, TN; her son, Doug Skiles and his wife Mitzie of Jackson, TN and daughter, Jennifer Andrews and her husband Scott of Sevierville, TN, and Betty Skiles of Estill Springs, TN. Norma also leaves behind a legacy of love in her 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents, James N. and Lee Wade Moore, and her beloved husband, John D. Skiles.

A visitation to honor Norma's life will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

The Pallbearers will be David Hix, Evan Skiles, Brady Skiles, Jason Pipkin, David Wiggins, and Doug Skiles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Mission Dignity TN online at tnbaptist.org or checks may be made to Tennessee Baptist Convention, designated to Mission Dignity TN/Norma Skiles and mailed to Bank Lockbox Service, PO Box 306339. Nashville, TN 37230-6339

Norma Lee Skiles will be remembered fondly for her unwavering faith, her dedication to her family, and her enduring spirit that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
