Nell Brister

Nell Burke Brister went to her Heavenly Home on April 17, 2016.
She was the daughter of the late William D. Burke and the late Mary Hall Burke. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles N. Brister, an infant sister, Betty Jane Burke and an infant great grandchild, Dominique Menchaca.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lyle and her husband Jerry of Bartlett, TN. And Donna Childs and husband Phil of Jackson, TN. Three grandchildren, Jesse Menchaca of San Antonio, TX; Christopher Childs and wife Katie of Ashland City, TN; And Lauren Childs of Nashville, TN. Four great grandsons, Blaze and Charlie Childs, and Zachary and Nicholas Menchaca. She leaves three sisters and one brother, a half-sister and half-brother, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church at the Village.
SERVICE: Visitation will be Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and a celebration service at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 22, 2016. Both at Arrington Funeral Directors. An informal gathering and burial will follow at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh La Grange Rd, Memphis, TN, at 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church at 40 Casey Jones Lane #6, Jackson, TN 38305, or to a charity of The Donors Choice.
