Mima Susan Powers

Mima Susan Powers (“Suzy”), age 69, died at her home peacefully surrounded by her family early Monday morning, December 20, 2021 in Spring Creek, TN. Suzy was adopted by Robert L. and Jemima McGrew Moore and made her home in Jackson, TN. She was retired as a RN for West Tennessee Healthcare and was a nurse her whole career. Suzy loved painting, arts and crafts, traveling and seeing the world. She loved helping people, and cherished her four grandchildren.

Suzy is survived by her son, Shawn E. R. Powers of Spring Creek, TN: one daughter, Rebecca Powers Dempsey of Jackson, TN; three brothers, John Moore of Tuscumbia, Alabama; Bob Moore Jr. of Rutherford, TN; and Boswell Moore of Rutherford, TN.

A special appreciation and love goes to Kimberly R. Powers for her utmost care and love in tending to the special needs of Suzy in her last few years.

SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Arrington Funeral Directors from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Osker Seiber officiating.
