Mildred Cash, Age 82, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a short illness.
A native of Leapwood, TN, Mildred was born on March 17, 1935, the daughter of the late Ed and Hazel Tucker Hamm. She was married to Max Earl Cash who preceded her in death on December 7, 2015. She was retired from Allied Signal, formerly known as Bendix. She along with her husband worked for many years with Skeeter Alexander at Skeeter’s Restaurant, where she served as a waitress and made many of the famous desserts. Cooking and gardening were her passions. She also enjoyed caning in the summer and fishing with her late husband. She was a charter member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church of Jackson, where her church family was very important to her.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy Helton and husband Dell of Lexington, TN; three sons, Richard Cash and wife Judge Denise Andre of Franklin, TN, Jeff Cash and wife Tina of Chehalis, WA and Rev. Wade Cash and wife Alishia of Jackson, TN; a sister, Gail Wren and husband Roger of Hollow Rock, TN and eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Elliott and Addie Hamm.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 23, 2018 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Wade Cash and Rev. Paul Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Adam Cash, Phillip Cash, Russ Cash, Blake Helton, Anthony Lawson and Adam Gordon.
