Michelle Nicole (Archie) Russell, 51, of Jackson, TN, left this vale of tears behind on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, TN. She was born January 25, 1973, in Jackson, TN, the oldest of three children born to Richard Archie and Annette (Bledsoe) Archie.
Michelle and her family moved to Texas when she was eight years old. There, she enjoyed being in school plays and musicals, singing in the choir, and being the team manager for the football team. She was a 1991 graduate of Southwest High School in Fort Worth, TX.
She was an avid sports fan. The TCU Frogs and the Dallas Cowboys were her favorite teams. She enjoyed watching the games and cheering on her teams. Michelle enjoyed dancing and traveling, especially traveling on cruises. She loved all kinds of music and was always singing. Her beautiful and powerful voice amazed and entertained many.
Working at various jobs throughout her life, she found a work place she treasured when she began working at West TN Healthcare in 2001. She worked in many different capacities within that system and found her niche as a Rep in Patient Financial Services. Her health dictated her early retirement in 2023, after serving over twenty-one years.
On September 20, 2008, she was married to Edward Russell in Jackson, TN. Together they made many memories, along with her step-daughter, Ella.
Michelle never met a stranger and was most dedicated to the people she loved. She always had a listening ear and a helping hand. Even after becoming bed bound, she kept working. Michelle was always cheerful with few complaints. She never gave up and fought hard to the very end.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harvey and Thelma (Tomlinson) Bledsoe and Charles and Dolores (LeCornu) Archie; and her mother-in-law, Ella Boyd.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Russell; step-daughter, Ella; parents, Richard and Annette Archie; brother Jacob (Allison) Archie and their children Madeline and Abigail: sister, Rachel (Chris) Haliburton and their children Annabella and Aaron; her beloved Chihuahua, Ed; and a multitude of friends to mourn her absence.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and no service will be scheduled. Her cremated remains will be scattered privately at a later date.
Until we meet again.
