Melody Michele Henry

Melody Michele Henry, beloved wife and soulmate of Matthew Henry passed peacefully into her heavenly home on November 13, 2023, at NHC Healthcare of Milan, TN.

She was born in Jackson, TN on April 29, 1962, the daughter of Harry and Katie Hughes.  Melody was educated in the Jackson, TN school system graduating from Jackson Central Merry in 1980.  She was formerly employed as a unit secretary with Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  After leaving the hospital she was a caring homemaker to her husband.  Matthew and Melody were married on January 19, 1981.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Katie Hughes and a brother Rodger Hughes.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of forty-two years, Matthew; a nephew, Adam Hughes, and wife Alicia; her sister-in-law Janet Hughes along with several other nieces and nephews.

SERVICES:  A memorial service celebrating Melody’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. December 2, 2023, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Hunley officiating,

The family will be receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 11:30 a.m. and continuing until the service time,

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1730 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
