A graveside service will be held for Mary Sevier Vann, Age 80, at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Hollywood Cemetery in Jackson, TN.
Mrs. Vann died peacefully on January 2, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Nashville Tennessee.
Mrs. Vann was born in Jackson, TN on March 18, 1942, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Sevier. She was the granddaughter of John Sevier, the first governor of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband William Irwin Vann, Sr. and son William Irwin Vann, Jr.
Mrs. Vann was a member of the Brentwood Hill Church of Christ in Nashville. She was actively involved with the Tuesday morning Ladies Class and the Love Bear ministry.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Hall (Derek), and Susan Mills (Randy), three grandchildren, Nathan Vann, Brook Jones (Brandon) and Will Mills, and great-granddaughter, Indie Annalise Jones. She is also survived by her sister Susan Rochelle (Mike); nephew and niece, Michael Rochelle (LeeAnne) and Beth Hixon (Brent), great niece and nephews, Elizabeth Rochelle, Michael Rochelle and Zach Hixon.
