Mary Joyce Robertson, best known as Joyce, age 76, of Jackson, TN passed away at Maplewood Healthcare in Jackson, TN on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
Joyce was born in Jackson, TN on Sunday, March 25, 1945 to the late Thomas Mount. Other than her father she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Joe Robertson.
Joyce married Bobby Joe Robertson, the love of her life, on December 12, 1967. They shared 40 years of blissful marriage before the passing of Bobby. During their marriage they made their family complete with the addition of their son, Bobby Joseph “Jody” Robertson.
Joyce was a woman of many talents. She worked for more than 20 years at Mrs. Sullivan’s Pies in Jackson, TN where she became an instrumental part of the day-to-day operations. Joyce loved sewing and crafting, shopping, and working in flowers, with her favorite flowers being the “4-o’clock” blooms. Joyce had a feisty spirit and enjoyed any opportunity to act crazy with silly games and to aggravate others. Her most treasured times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her devoted son Bobby Joseph Robertson, known to most as “Jody” and his wife Lisa, who Joyce cherished; her three adored grandchildren Kimber, Hunter, and Kara Grace Robertson; brother John Wayne Palmer and his wife, Helen of Sharon, TN; as well as many friends and neighbors also mourn her passing.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
