Mary Alice Jo Collins, age 78, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at her Jackson residence.
Mary Alice was born on August 2, 1937 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of the late Lawrence Ralph and Sarah Elizabeth Hill Loveless. She was a long-time employee of Rockwell International from 1965 until her retirement in 2004, where she was recognized with numerous perfect attendance awards. She was a member of Northside Assembly of Jackson. She was a very generous, caring and classy lady. She was very giving to anyone who needed money or a place to stay. She enjoyed traveling and was known for being a good cook. Her grandchildren and great grandchild were her life and she was very dedicated to them. Mary Alice had some special caregivers in Bobbie Bowling, Grady Kiestler and his wife Jennifer and their daughter Kaylee.
She is survived by her daughter, Allyson Elizabeth Henley of Denmark, TN; Sister, Connie Bausman of Jackson, TN; a brother, Arthur Lawrence Loveless of Owassa, OK; two grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth George (Justin) and Christopher David Collins (Amber); ten great grandchildren, Madisson Bright, Brayden Collins, Collin Bright, Aubree Elizabeth Bright, Knoxton Collins, Hailey Elizabeth Bright, Easton Collins, Kylar Collins, Kaleigh Hodges and Tristen Hodges, and two nieces and two nephews.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Gardens with Chris Smith, officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Monday from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Collins, Justin Hodges and, nephews, Grady Keistler, Ron Baxter, Brandon Baxter, Joe Schwoob, Gordon Tosh Brayden Collins and Collin Bright.
The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
