Marvis A. McCallumFuneral service for Marvis McCallum, 76, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday February 21, 2010 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Wendell Lang and Dr. Jerry Ross officiating burial will follow in Latham?s Chapel Cemetery in Medina, TN. Mrs. McCallum died Friday February 19, 2010 at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital. Mrs. McCallum was born June 7, 1933 in Crockett Co., TN the daughter of the late Lloyd and Carrie Ange. She was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church and the Deborah Sunday School Class. She served missions with Career Women?s WMU and Mary Martha Cooking Circle. Her greatest love was leading others to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Marvis loved teaching Sunday School and working with children and teenagers in her younger days. Marvis retired from the field of insurance in 1977. After retirement she volunteered as a lay counselor with Birth Choice for 6 years and later became a volunteer with Regional Hospital as a Pink Lady. Her greatest desire is to see her family members join her in Heaven one day and be together for all eternity. Marvis taught her children and grandchildren to accept Jesus Christ as our Savior of the world. Until we meet again in Heaven keep the faith. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Freeman and wife Frances of Murfreesboro, TN and Stephen Freeman and wife Lynne of Brentwood, TN; a brother Arlis Ange and wife Jackie of Medina, TN; two grandsons, Brad Freeman and Greg Freeman of Brentwood, TN.
