Marie Petty Forsythe

Marie Petty Forsythe, 91, died Sunday morning, May 18, 2014 at her residence under the loving care of Avalon Hospice and her loving family.
She was born March 5, 1923 in Henderson County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Henry Jasper and Lessie Freeman Petty. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Howlett Forsythe in July of 1999. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Martha Joanne Petty and Margaret petty king.
She spent most of her working days alongside her husband Howlett at Forsythe Construction Company. Mrs Forsythe was also a lifelong active member of Poplar Heights Baptist Church.
Mrs. Forsythe is survived by one daughter, Joanne Bunch and husband Mike of Jackson, TN, two sons Bill Forsythe and wife Vickie of Jackson, TN, Jim Forsythe and wife Patti of Germantown, TN, six grandchildren, Debra Hurst (Danny), Jennifer McCauley (Jason), Emily Dinkins (Bronson), Andy Forsythe (Beth Anne), Bobby Glover (Aletha), Chris Forsythe (Christi), fifteen great-grandchildren, a special niece Martha Ann Ferguson and a special nephew Jamie King.
The family has requested memorial contributions be directed to Poplar Heights Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 1980 Hollywood Drive, Jackson, TN 38305.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Robert Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00PM until service time at 3:00PM. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Grandsons serving as pallbearers will be Andy Forsythe, Lane Forsythe, Danny Hurst, Jason McCauley, Bronson Dinkins, Bobby Glover and Austin Glover.
