Margie D. Jordan, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, in Nashville, TN.
She was born in Jackson, TN on July 21, 1935, to the late Aubrey J. and Viola Lue Harrell Haley. As a young girl, Margie was baptized at West Jackson Baptist Church. She worked at K-Mart as the director of personnel. She loved gardening and playing with her two special dogs, Tootsie and Poodles, who brought much joy to her life over the years.
Margie was predeceased by her husband, Vernon Jordan and her brothers, Ralph S. Haley and Roy Haley.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Lois Emily Jordan Noel (Lee Francis); three step grandchildren, Tina Noel Page (John W.), Emy Noel Sanderson (Cory J.), and Lee Francis Noel, Jr. (Caroline Whittemore), all from Nashville, TN; and six step great-grandchildren, Lily Evelyn Page, Gracie Ann Page, Brooke Bagwell Noel, Lee Francis Noel, III, Benjamin James Sanderson, and Charles Noel Sanderson.
SERVICE: A funeral service will take place 12:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Ron Hale officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
The family wants to thank special friends, Arlene Voynick, Becky Young, Cindy Becky’s mom, and Yordanos Dumez for taking care of her during her time of need. She was blessed to have these friends during this difficult journey.
