Margaret Mary Lawson

Margaret Mary Lawson, born on June 15, 1938 departed this life peacefully in Jackson, Tennessee, on December 23, 2024. She lived a life filled with purpose and commitment, exemplified by her service in the United States Air Force where she dedicated herself to her country with honor and integrity. It was through this military service that she found herself in Alaska where she found her home and created a fulfilling life for herself and her family.

Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories among her family. She is survived by her beloved children: son Eric (Angela) Lawson; daughter Susan Fruit; daughter Mary (Richard) Lewis; daughter Sally (Leonard) Ancheta; a daughter Stacey (Mark) Stewart; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. Her family holds dear the lessons she imparted and the warmth she always provided.

While Margaret's life is honored by those who remain, her memory is also preserved by the enduring love of those who preceded her in death. She was the cherished daughter of John and Elizabeth O'Conner and a supportive sister to Tom (Iris) O’Conner, Jack (Barb) O’Conner, Kay Stobbs (Bob) and Betty Grant (Jim).

Margaret will be remembered not only for her family ties but also for her unwavering strength and dedication. Her life's journey has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. As we celebrate her life, we acknowledge her service, her love for family, and the profound impact she had on those around her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held January 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors. Visitation will take place before the service from 1:00-3:00.
