Malcolm D. Wilcox, age 80, died Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Jackson -Madison County Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Houston, Texas and was the son of Frank and Daisy Ann Montogomery Wilcox. He was retired as the fleet manager for Colonial Bread for 30 years. Malcolm loved tending to his horses, he was a civil war reenactor for many years, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was past Grand Knight, a senior member of the Civil Air Patrol, and known for being the “Southern Gent” in talk radio for 101.5 FM. He also was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jo Ann Wesley Wilcox of Beech Bluff, TN; two sons, Dennis Wilcox and Allen Wilcox of Fayetteville, AR; three daughters, Michelle (Steve) Simmons of Sammamish, WA; Cecelia (Jeremy) Snider of Etowah, TN; Cynthia (Chris) Becker of Trezevant, TN; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Wilcox.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2021 Calvary Cemetery with Father David Graham officiating.
