Mabel Kinard, affectionately known as "NoNo," was born on January 13, 1933, in Louisville, Mississippi. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the age of 92 in Jackson, Tennessee. Mabel was a cherished member of her community, renowned for her warm spirit and unwavering kindness.

Mabel dedicated over twenty-seven years of her life to her career as a medical assistant at the Jackson Clinic, where her professional demeanor was complemented by her vibrant personality. She had an innate ability to connect with people, making everyone feel welcomed and valued. Her outgoing nature truly made her the life of any gathering, as she never met a stranger.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, she was also a gifted pianist and organist, sharing her musical talents with many as well as her participation in the church choir. at North Jackson Baptist Church. Her love of music brought joy not only to her but to those around her. She was known as the "Shopping Queen," by her family and she took great delight in her trips to Wal-Mart, where she would often share her cheerful disposition.

Mabel's culinary skills were particularly beloved; she was known for her remarkable Pound Cake that she lovingly baked for family and friends. She shared many happy moments camping at Pickwick with her late husband, Bobby Kinard, creating treasured memories that her family holds dear.

She further showcased her commitment to service and fellowship as she was actively involved in her community and was a proud member of North Jackson Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star #85.

Mabel leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Beverly Cole-Sherrod (Bobby) of Jackson, TN, son, Kenny Kinard (B J) of Jackson, TN, and daughter Laurie Barham (Mike) of Murfreesboro, TN. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Kindra Issacs (David), Shanna Hornsby (Chris), Blair Anderson (P J), Shaun West (Ali), Cody Kinard (Bonnie), Adam Barham (Cory), Amber Fox (Adam), and Abby Segraves (Bryan), as well as twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Kinard, and will be remembered with immense love and admiration by all whose lives she touched.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Mabel's life will be held at North Jackson Baptist Church, on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects beginning at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicky Kee, Greg Grooms, Chris Dotson, Shaun West, Cody Kinard and Adam Barham.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to North Jackson Baptist Church, 3768 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.

Mabel’s legacy of compassion, generosity, and joy will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. She has truly left an indelible mark on this world, and her spirit will live on through the love she shared and the memories she created.
