Lucy Mae Shaw, the much-loved baby girl of Brooks and Megan Seals Shaw, was born into the arms of Jesus at 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, January 8th, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Born at 17 weeks during her mom’s pregnancy, she weighed 6.3 ounces and was 8 inches long, coming into this world too soon. Lucy was named after her late great-great grandmothers, Lucy Thompson, and Annie Mae Parham.
Her dad is General Manager and third-generation owner of Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store, and her mom is the owner of Megan Shaw Photography.
Family members meeting Lucy in Heaven were her grandfather, Clark Shaw; her great-grandmothers, Anne Shaw and Betty Seals, and her great-grandfather, James (Bubba) Hagood.
Other than her parents, she will be forever loved and always remembered by her 3½-year-old big sister, Grace Anne Shaw; maternal grandparents, Mike and Mitzi Seals, paternal grandmother, Juanita Shaw, all from Jackson, TN; great-grandmother, Barbara "Mawmaw" Hagood of Jackson, TN; uncle, Marshall Seals, and aunts, Celene Seals and Elizabeth Shaw, all from Jackson, TN.
Although Lucy never spent any time with her family, she was very loved and touched many lives.
