Louise Turner, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age of 90.
She was born on August 4, 1933, in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Joe Page, Sr. and Ethel Lee Page Throughout her life, Louise cherished the close bond she shared with her parents and siblings.
Louise was a remarkable woman who embraced many roles in her lifetime. She found great joy as an entrepreneur and owned her own business, a Ceramics shop. Her passion for ceramics were evident in the beautiful pieces she created.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Louise had a deep love for her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. They held a special place in her heart. She delighted in their achievements and cherished each moment spent together.
In addition to family gatherings, Louise was an active member of the local Eastern Star organization. She enjoyed being involved in community activities and made lasting friendships along the way.
In her free time, Louise indulged in various hobbies that brought happiness to her life. Cooking was one of her passions; she created countless delicious meals for her loved ones. Flower gardening allowed Louise to find solace and peace amidst the beauty of nature. She also found pleasure in engaging her mind with word search puzzles.
Louise is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James G. "Jimmy" Turner, her grandson Will Cummings and great-grandson Trey Cummings and her brother, Joe Page, Jr and her sister, Patricia Johnson. Their memory will forever inspire and remind us of the importance of family bonds.
Louise leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her daughter, Shelia Ann Cummings and husband William of Jackson, TN, and her son, James Eric Turner and wife Kim of Jackson, TN; her grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, and Thomas; great-grandchildren Brooke, Ruthie, and Ryleigh; as well as her great-great-grandchildren Briley, Kohnley, and Finley. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Larry Johnson. Her devotion to them was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy filled with love that will continue to thrive through generations.
SERVICE: A funeral service to honor Louise will take place on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Don Chism officiating. The Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, November 3, 2023, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until the service at 1:00.
Pallbearers to serve will be Michael Turner, Tom Cummings, Nick Thweatt, Scott Brown, Todd Brown and Kevin Brown
Although our hearts are heavy with grief from our loss today, let us remember Louise for her unwavering love, kindness towards others, and zest for life. She may no longer be with us physically, but her spirit will continue to inspire joy in our lives until we meet again.
