Linda (Munner) Underwood, 68 died on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at her Jackson, TN residence.
A native of Henry County, TN, she was born on June 30, 1944, the daughter of the late J.C. and Almeta Driver Gallimore. She was formerly employed as a Pharmaceutical Representative and as the Director of the Epilepsy Foundation in Jackson for several years. Her passion was her family, and she took great joy in attending the many athletic events and various other activities of her children and grandchildren. She loved her church family at Northside United Methodist Church where she was member and participated in many activities.
She is survived by her husband of fifty one years, Danny Underwood; three daughters, Sherri Wyatt and husband Shawn, DeAnn Ellis and husband Alan and Missy Hearn and husband Bobby all of Jackson, TN; ten grandchildren, Courtney Reedy and husband Brandon, Joel Wyatt, Collin Wyatt, Hayden Ellis, Drew Ellis, Jackie Ellis, Tori Ellis, Maggie Hearn, Allie Hearn and Tripp Hearn; a brother, Larry Gallimore and wife Loretta of Paris, TN and two sisters, Margaret Fortin and husband Leo of St. Louis, MO and Catherine Orr of Nashville.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Grooms and Vinelle Pennington.
The family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to the Memorial Fund of Northside United Methodist Church, 2571 N. Highland Ave., Jackson, TN 38305.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Dr. Don Thrasher officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors.
