Lala Elizabeth Armour

Lala Elizabeth Armour, beloved wife of the late Reverend Warren Armour, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at AHC Healthcare and Rehab in Paris, Tennessee, at the age of 92. She was surrounded by her loving family as she entered her heavenly home.
 
Lala was born on June 13, 1931, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late Chauncey and Ruby Cotner Cathey. She spent her formative years in Jackson received her education in the local school system.
 
Throughout her life, Lala dedicated herself to serving others. As a pastor's wife, she took on numerous roles within the church and the community. She also held the position of licensed nursing home administrator. Lala was a devoted mother who raised eight children with love and strength.
 
In her leisure time, Lala enjoyed expressing her creativity through sewing, particularly making dresses for her daughters. She found solace in reading and engaging in various crafts. However, her true joy came from serving others; whether it was nurturing her family or extending a helping hand to those in need.
 
Lala is survived by her children: David Armour and wife Shelia of Pinson, TN; Dwight Armour and wife Kathy of Jackson, TN; Dale Armour and wife Linda of Buchanan, TN; Dean Armour and wife Lynn of Dyersburg; Dianne Lowery and husband Gary of Paris, TN; Donna Wilson of Ripley, TN. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
 
Along with her parents she is predeceased by her loving husband Warren Armour, two sons, Dannie Armour and Dwayne Armour along with a brother John Cathey and a sister, Frances Jones.
 
A celebration of Life honoring Lala's life will take place on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Scott Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2024, beginning at 11:00 AM at Arrington Funeral Directors and continuing until the service time of 1:00 p.m.
 
Pallbearers serving will be Paul Armour, Cullie Armour, Josh Armour, Brian Lowery, Seth Armour, Will Armour and Ben Armour.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dillon Wilson and Brandon Greene.
 
Lala Elizabeth Armour's legacy of love, compassion, and service will forever remain in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
