Kim Dorene Love

  Kim Dorene Love, age 59, departed this life on August 21, 2023, in Jackson, TN. She was born on July 27, 1964, in East Los Angeles, CA to her parents, Gerald Hurley and Ester Pimms.

  Kim had a vibrant personality that radiated joy and warmth to those around her. She was known for being fun, caring, loving, and sweet. Kim's positive energy made her a cherished member of the community. Her love extended beyond humans as she adored her cats, Chumley and Fangs. They brought comfort and companionship to Kim throughout the years.

  Throughout her career, Kim served as a dedicated waitress at the Hilton Garden Inn. Her exceptional skills and passion for catering led her to receive awards from the military for providing meals in Germany. Kim's commitment to her work showcased her attention to detail and ability to make every meal unforgettable.

  Outside of work, Kim had an array of hobbies and interests that brought her immense joy. She had a passion for singing and dancing which allowed her to express herself creatively. Going out to eat and shopping were among her favorite activities as she loved exploring new culinary experiences and adding stylish pieces to her wardrobe.

  Swimming was another activity that Kim cherished; she found solace in the water and enjoyed spending time swimming whenever possible. Above all else, she had a deep love for shoes which brought excitement into her life. 

  She is survived by her loving husband Anthony Love, with whom she shared many wonderful memories. Together they built a beautiful family that included their children Brittany Branson (Curtis), Alec Hoover (Amanda), Michael Marvin (Cassie), and Kristina Love-Norton (Ryan). Kim adored being a grandmother to Vaughn Branson, Lucas Branson, RJ Hoover, Pheonix Hoover, Grayson Hoover, Hayley Marvin, Grant Marvin, Brailyn Marvin, and Isabella Love-Norton - each grandchild bringing immense joy to her life.  Also, she is survived by her mother, Ester Pimms (George); brother, Steve Collison (Sue); in-laws, James and Brenda Love. 

  Kim was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Hurley and sister, Debbie Siekerman.

  Funeral services for Mrs. Love will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2023 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.  

  Kim Dorene Love touched the lives of many with her infectious spirit and genuine love for those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.
