Keith Douglas Cowden

Keith Douglas Cowden went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 3, 2023, at the age of 43.  

He was born the oldest of three children on December 30, 1979, in Jackson, TN the son of Steve and Polly Ellis Cowden.

Keith grew up in Pinson, TN and graduated from South Side High School in 1998, where he was a star baseball player.  He later attended Freed-Hardeman University. He was currently a member of Sardis Missionary Baptist Church.  He was called to the ministry and had completed two years at Central Arkansas Baptist Bible Institute in Benton, AR.

He is survived by his two daughters, Kathryn Danielle Cowden and Callie Brooke Cowden of Pensacola, FL; his parents Steve and Polly Cowden; his sister, Casey Richey and husband Brian; his brother, Jason Cowden; his grandmothers, Sue Glenn and Jean Ellis; nephew, Cooper Richey; niece, Addison Richey and several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

SERVICES:  A memorial service to celebrate Keith's life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023 in the chapel of Englewood Baptist Church, with Lisa Clements officiating.

The family will be receiving friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing until the service.

The family is requesting that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.atjude.org.
