Judy Caroline Frazier, age 78, peacefully departed this life on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

She was born on December 16, 1946, in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Avanelle Foust Smith. Judy devoted many years of her life to the betterment of her community and the nurturing of her family.

Having worked as a teacher's assistant for several years, Judy poured her heart into education, fostering a love of learning in the children she mentored. Her commitment not only to her profession but also to her faith was evident through her life-long membership at West Jackson Baptist Church. Throughout the years, she was actively involved in the church choir and took great joy in teaching Sunday school, touching countless lives with her kindness and devotion.

Judy was a graduate of Jackson High School and furthered her education at Union University, where she became a proud member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Her interests spanned a variety of activities; she found delight in needlepoint, reading, cooking, and most importantly, cherishing moments spent with her loved ones.

Judy is fondly remembered by her husband of fifty-eight years, James P. Frazier, Jr., and their son, James P. Frazier III and his wife Cindy Davis Frazier. She is also survived by her brother, John H. Smith and his wife Susan, her sister, Janice Smith Nowell and her husband James, and her brother-in-law, Hoyt Wilson. Judy's warm spirit and nurturing nature thrive within her grandchildren, Coleman Frazier, Miller Frazier and his wife Reagan, Hank Conditt, Katie Meier, and Jordan Sweat and his wife Kendall, as well as her three beloved great-grandchildren.

Judy's memory is embraced by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Glidwell, her brother, Joe Smith, and her sister, Nancy Wilson. Her legacy of love, grace, and unwavering faith will continue to shine through the lives she touched.

A visitation with Friends and family are invited to come together and honor and remember Judy's remarkable life. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing until 6:00 p.m. at Arrington Funeral Directors.
