Joseph DiMarco, Jr., was born on July 11, 1950, in Germany to the late Joseph and Genoveva Hubig DiMarco. After the death of his parents, he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Joan and Robert DiMarco, in Memphis, TN. He died on February 23, 2022, of pancreatic cancer at his Jackson residence surrounded by his loving family.
Joe graduated from Kingsburg High School in 1968 and later received a Bachelor of Science in Business from Lambuth University. He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1972 and in the Army National Guard from 1985 to 1991. At the time of his death, he was retired from Allied Universal Security.
Joe married the former Sylvia Hardee on March 17, 1973. They had three children, Joseph DiMarco, Jennifer DiMarco, and James DiMarco (Blair), and four grandchildren, Hunter, Elizabeth and Creed DiMarco, and Harley (Jesse) Buckley, all of whom survive.
Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Rayna Bomar and Tammy Hardee; nieces, Angela Snider (Karl), Danielle Hardee (Eric Rooks), Katherine Alexander (Callaway) and Laura Beth Hardee; great niece and nephews, Kaylee and Cole Snider, David and Emmett Rooks, and Callaway Alexander II; uncle, James Morrow; cousins, Karl Morrow, Suzy Morrow, Dennis DiMarco, Robert DiMarco, Gulia Roberts and Leeta McManigal.
Other than his parents and his aunt and uncle, Joe was predeceased by his cousin, Sarah Griffin; nephew, Sam Bomar; brothers-in-law, Hugh Bomar and David Hardee; and sister-in-law, Mary Nelle Hardee.
Joe was a long-time member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 26, 2022, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Terry Hunley officiating. Burial will follow in the Historic Denmark Presbyterian Cemetery, in Denmark, TN.
Pallbearers serving are Jesse Buckley, Eric Rooks, Callaway Alexander, Hunter DiMarco, Creed DiMarco, Phillip Williams, Karl Snider, Kyle O’Brien, and Blake Williams.
The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1730 Highway 45 Bypass, Jackson, TN 38305.
