John Roberts Whybrew

John Roberts Whybrew, a cherished member of his family and community, was born on February 6, 1957, in New York. He passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on March 23, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

John devoted his career to being a self-employed truck driver, a profession that not only provided for his family but also allowed him to engage with various communities across the country. His passion for driving and the open road was evident in his stories and experiences, which he often lovingly shared with those around him.

He is survived by his beloved family, including his sons, John Whybrew and wife Jennifer of Jackson, TN, Matthew Whybrew of Lexington, TN, and Tyler Whybrew and wife Dixie of Lexington, TN. His legacy continues through his daughter, Kristin Carpenter and husband Kent of Medina, TN as well as eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also mourning his passing are his brother, David Whybrew and wife Mary, and his sister, Peggy Pate and husband Billy.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Evelyn Roberts Whybrew, and his sister, Pat Kuykendall. He leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.

The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.
