John Richard Davis departed this life peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in his home on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the age of 53.
John was born on July 19, 1969, in Jackson, TN to Cyndee Tyson and Tom Davis. He was a 1993 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. After school, he was hired as a parts buyer for Monogram Refrigeration in Selmer, TN, where he worked for twenty years. He had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Besides his love for his family, John loved playing his guitars and enjoyed spending time on the golf course. He also had a great joy for traveling, mainly to Gatlinburg, TN and Destin, FL.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ed and Lillian Davis of Brownsville, TN; and maternal grandparents, John and Juanita Sowell of Brownsville, TN.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Cyndee and Mike Tyson of Jackson, TN and Tom and Janet Davis of Nesbit, MS; brothers, Thomas Davis, Jr. (Bradley Adams) of Sharon, TN, Nathan Davis (Allie) of St. Petersburg, FL, and Brad Tyson of Medina, TN; sisters, Robyn Keener of Jackson, TN and Leah McCoy (Jared) of Alamo, TN; nieces and nephews, Callie Tyson, Austin Tyson, Myles Keener, Mycah Keener, Dylan DeWald, Emma DeWald, and Nate McCoy; and special friend, Sheila Phillips of Toone, TN.
A memorial service will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors, with Rev. Gerry Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. until time of service.
