Joan Ferrell Elinor Wilson age 79, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Jackson, TN. She was born July 27, 1941 in Battle Creek Michigan and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Wilma Bailey Elinor. She moved to Tennessee at an early age and attended schools here. She was a member of Gregory’s Chapel Assembly of God, Humboldt TN, where she was active in Women’s and Girls Ministries for several years. She also served as a foster parent for a number of years. Joan was retired as a school bus driver for Jackson Madison County Schools. Also, Joan worked at the Jackson Sun for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Billy Wilson of Jackson, TN; three daughters, Pamela Broach (Allen) of Ky; Belinda Brasfield (Jamie) of Oakfield, TN; and Trina Thomas (Randy) of Jackson, TN; one brother, Raymond Elinor Jr. of Sharon, TN; one sister, Lyndia Boone (Jerry) of Greenfield, TN; four grandchildren, Brandon and Dustin Broach, Melissa Brasfield, and Allison Thomas. She was also granny to five children, Tracy and Taylor Thomas, Jenna, Morgan, and Chloe Brasfield: three great-grandchildren, Ainsley and Marshall Moling, and Bryson Thomas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Keith Scarbrough and one granddaughter, Caitlin Brasfield.
Pallbearers to serve are Raymond Elinor Jr, Jerry Boone, Randy Thomas, Jamie Brasfield, Tim McCoy, and Will Moling.

SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Gregory’s Chapel Assembly of God Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jessica McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
