Jim Wyatt, 92, a child of God, who practiced His unconditional love for all, died on Thursday, December 20, 2018 surrounded by his family at his Madison County residence.
A native of Carroll County, TN, Jim was born on December 21, 1926 the son of the late Charlie Willie and Mittie Lou Everett Wyatt. He served in the United States Army from 1945 through 1946 as a Technician 5th Grade in the 64th Engineers Topographic Battalion. He retired with Gulf Life Insurance Company. He was a member of Campbell Street Church and a former member of East Chester Church of Christ, teaching Bible school classes for many years. He was an avid reader and served as a member of the South East Madison County Ruritan Club. He and his wife loved traveling, spending time with their family, and attending their grandchildren's sporting activities.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Odaleane Wyatt of Jackson, TN; two daughters, Wanda Holt and husband Kenny, Teresa Dean and husband Alan: two sons, Mark Wyatt and wife Joanne, and Shawn Wyatt and wife Sherri all of Jackson, TN; a brother Bob Wyatt of Huntingdon, TN; eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Ray Hawk and Ken Bradford officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM and Sunday 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Arrington Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society.
