Jerry Lynn Rogers

Memorial services for Jerry Lynn Rogers, 63, will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Joey Edwards officiating. Mr. Rogers died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at his residence after a battle with lung cancer. Jerry was born July 29, 1949 in Sharon, TN the son of the late Lewis and Ruth Greer Edwards. Jerry was a veteran of the Army, serving in Germany and Vietnam. He worked for the State of Tennessee in Mental Health and then worked for 25 years with the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole then with U.S. Federal Probation until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Bain Rogers; a son, Jared Rogers of Jackson, TN; a daughter, Hannah Rogers of Chattanooga, TN and four brothers, Larry Butler (Joan) of Martin, TN, Ricky Edwards (Martha) of Kansas, Joey Edwards (LeAnne) of Lakeland, TN and Tim Edwards (Lorrie) of Sharon, TN.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Parkview Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society. The family would also like to thank Hospice of West Tennessee for their kindness and care.
