Jerry Lynn Powell

Jerry L. Powell age 77, died November 8, 2020 in Humboldt, TN after a brief illness. He was born in Memphis, TN the son of Paul and Colleen Smith Powell. Mr. Powell was retired from TDOT as Chief Right of Way Buyer, an Air Force Veteran serving in Vietnam. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Humboldt and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and outdoors in general.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 45 years, Belinda Gatlin Powell of Humboldt, TN; one son, Anthony Powell of Humboldt, TN; two daughters, Deanna Powell of Humboldt, TN and Holly (Dallas) Griggs of Jackson, TN; one brother, Ronnie Powell of Gallatin, TN; one sister, Gail Phelan of Trenton, TN; three grandchildren; and his canine companion Sosa.

One grandson, Sam Powell is stationed in Japan serving in the Marines and Mr. Powell was so proud of his service to our country.

SERVICES: There will be a graveside service on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Hale officiating.
