Janice Faulkner

Janice Faulkner, age 86, was born on November 15, 1938, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and departed this life peacefully on March 8, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital following a brief illness.

Janice, known for her extremely outgoing personality, was a cherished member of her community and a dedicated professional throughout her life. Janice devoted many years of her career to the Jackson Energy Authority, where she began her journey when it was still known as Jackson Utility Division. Her commitment and hard work culminated in her role as Safety Coordinator before she retired from the organization. Janice's contributions to her workplace reflected her dedication, not just to her job, but to the safety and wellbeing of her colleagues and the community she served.

A graduate of Northside High School, Janice embraced life with great enthusiasm, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her adventures, warmth, and engaging spirit were evident in her interactions with family and friends, and she was deeply loved for the joy she brought into their lives. Janice was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she was active in various ways.

Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Faulkner.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her family: her son Chris Faulkner and wife Bernadette, her son Craig Faulkner, her brother Jimmy Dickey, and her sister Julie Gutch and husband Wayne. Her grandchildren, Jacob Faulkner, Brandon Brummell, Caroline Faulkner, Hays Flippin, and Michael Faulkner, as well as her great-grandchildren, Knox McPherson and Elizabeth McPherson, Mack Flippin, and Emmitt James Faulkner will continue to cherish the memories they created with her.

Janice Faulkner will be remembered for her kindness, her vibrant spirit, and her unwavering dedication to her family and community. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held on March 13, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until 12:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 1665 US-45 BYP, Jackson, TN 38305.
